3000 (SQS: 8:59.23/8:58.43) Number of acceptances: 12
Takeaways:
-Obviously, Kinne asserted himself as the favorite this weekend. With the resume he has, it was really only a matter of time until he dropped a mark that put him far ahead of the rest of the field. Can't see him losing this race.
-The only scratch I project is Sewall, which would be for the DMR.
-With Kuhn scratching the mile in my projections, I'm predicting this 4x800/3000 double
-If anyone is going to challenge Kinne, look for Jack Miller.
The ** indicates times that were full two mile times, while * denotes 3200's. The 3200's get 35sec, while full two miles get 38sec.
This list was definitely more complicated, so if you see any mistakes please let me know!

Leachman?
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say I have no idea what happened. He was in my spreadsheet and then somehow didn't make it over to the post. The update has been made! Thank you for the catch. Great running by Leachman.

Just wanted to jump in to note that Casey Comber (former Hatboro Horsham runner) just ran 3:57.80 in the open Mile up in Boston. That's the quickest PA time in the Mile that I can think of in quite a while. I know Ned Willig dipped under 4 minutes and also Sam Ritz dipped under in this same race as Comber, but 3:57 is another level. Congrats to the Junior. Clearly following up his XC All-American finish (34th).
ReplyDeleteWow, that’s insane! PA way to represent. Love to see things like this.
DeleteOh SNAP, State College Meet last night really mixes things up. What will Brayden Harris do after he helped Mufflin County to a 10:32.08 DMR?!
ReplyDeleteJonah Hoey doubles down with victories in the Mile (4:23) and 800 (1:57.9). I bet he does the same at states--it looks as though the Mile is his better event atm.
And Ben Kuhn improves his 8:58 to a 8:52, which further secures his ticket to states.
State Entries Released! Will you be doing previews?
